About the Role

Within this role you will be responsible for the sales and promotion of HWHP products with focus on maintaining a high level of contact with key accounts, building strong relationships, working with consultants on projects and developments while also identifying key market opportunities.

To be successful in this role you will have some background in the plumbing industry or specifically with hot water heat pump technology. You will have exceptional relationship skills that allow you to build rapport and gain trust in your customers. You will have the ability to work in a consultative manner to identify solutions based on end user requirements. You will have a strong sales background and be a natural born hunter. You will possess strong organisational skills and have a knack for problem solving.

Most of all you will have a strong desire to be part a team that promotes and supports an emerging technology with a strong growth plan in place.

Applicants must be able to travel throughout the northern region of NZ regularly, have a clean drivers licence and most of all, a winning attitude.

Qualifications & Experience

Technical Product Manager

BDT are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our exceptional Product Management team to support our growing range of HVAC products within BDT and NZ.

About the Role

Within this role you will be responsible for managing every technical aspect of our HVAC product including technical evaluations, market research, technical training presentations, government regulations and technical submissions. You will support the technical nature of the product both internally at BDT and externally through our dealer base.

To be successful in this role you will have technical knowledge and experience in the HVAC market, with domestic heat pumps, ventilation and refrigeration as well as specific knowledge and experience in hot water heat pump products, commercial VRF systems and Chillers.

In other words you will understand the technical nature of HVAC products like the back of your hand and hold confidence in this knowledge.

Your outstanding communication skills will allow you to effectively communicate with internal staff, external customers and our overseas factories and your strong relationship skills will allow you to build and maintain vital key relationships for our business.

This role is varied and will require an eye for detail and a strong ability to multitask.

While this is primarily an office based role, applicants must be able to travel throughout the NZ if required, have a clean drivers licence and most of all, a winning attitude.
